Mehdi Ostadhassan 教授,博士生导师
Dr. Mehdi Ostadhassan is originally from Iran and received his BS and MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Petroleum University of Technology (Iran), and a second MS degree in Petroleum Geophysics from IFP School in France. His PhD is in Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota in USA on geomechanics and elastic anisotropy of the Bakken Shale. He worked as a research scientist at the EERC for one year before joining UND petroleum engineering department as an assistant professor. He became an associate professor in 2019 prior to joining NEPU. Last December he accepted a new position as distinguished professor at NEPU, department of earth sciences and became affiliated with the key laboratory of continental shale hydrocarbon accumulation and efficient development. Dr. Ostadhassan has published more than 80 journal papers, 50 conference papers and has been the invited as the speaker in different conferences. He has secured more than $3M in research funding and has collaboration with different universities and private companies around the globe on a wide range of topics including geochemistry, geomechanics, petrophysics, rock physics and materials characterization of unconventional shale plays.
